by the PIs Service Chief in the place of the ACOS/R&D

· Research Plan (25 page research plan + 4 pages of references) Monday, FEB 1
Research Plan is to be reviewed by the Scientific Review Committee on February 8, 2010.
***** please note: The R&D Committee will give concurrence for submission to Central Office only if the SRC has reviewed and approved the science of the project.*****
Following the Scientific Review Committee meeting you will receive required changes/recommendations to be incorporated into the final application.
· Scientific Subcommittee Review Monday, FEB 8
All new proposals must be reviewed and approved by the Scientific Review Subcommittee before submission to Central Office for funding consideration. This process is encouraged for all resubmissions.
· Budget Monday, FEB 8
Prepare” drafts” of budget forms so you can sit with Mr. Gonzalez and
discuss the total budget.

· FINAL application package - COMPLETE Wednesday MARCH 3
Final application must be presented to Dr. Washburn and Mr. Gonzalez for final administrative review.

The final day for electronic submission is Wednesday March 10, 2010. The electronic submission is held two business days in eRA Commons before being released to Central Office on March 15, 2010 (the due date).
